The Narara Ecovillage Building Approval Pathway is shown in Figure 1. It is framed around a 5-Step process which is summarised below. You can access information on the Approval Pathway and each Approval Step by clicking on the step's name.

Submitting Your Design

The NEV Co-Operative admin team have set up individual Dropbox folder for each lot in the Stage 1 subdivision. The folders are part of the Co-operative's Dropbox Business account which is a cloud based file storage service. If you are a Lot Owner you will soon receive an invitation to share the Dropbox folder set up for your lot. The invite will be sent to you and to the Sustainable Design Appraiser assigned to your lot. Your Dropbox folder will also be accessible to the Co-Operative's Admin Team and to NEV's Building Review Panel. It will not be shared with any other lot owner, however, once you accept the invitation you can elect to share your Dropbox folder with anyone you choose - for example your designer or your builder. You can also choose to synchronise the folder with your computer which allows desktop access to your Dropbox files.

Shared folders: Give people edit access to your files.
You submit your designs for NEV approval by uploading your design files to your Dropbox Lot Folder. You can do this yourself or you can share your Dropbox with your designer and ask them to do it on your behalf.
Design files can be uploaded progressively for each Approval Step as you arrive at that step in your Approval Pathway. NEV's Design Approval Checklist lists each document needed for each Approval Step.
After you have have uploaded a document, or documents, to your Dropbox folder you are asked to tick off from the list provided in the Design Approval Checklist the document(s) you have just submitted and email the checklist to buildingreviewpanel@nararaecovillage.com. Your email will be forwarded automatically to the Sustainable Design Appraiser (SDA) assigned to you and your SDA will send you an email in response confirming that your submission has been received.

Your SDA will add to appropriate box in the Completion Table below the date your submission has been assessed and endorsed by your SDA. If your assessor has any queries about your submission they will contact you by phone or email using the contact details provided with your NEV Wiki account profile.
